Huh is Casey Sweeney and Phil Thompson

One very fortunate night in September 1998, brothers Casey (guitar) and Phil (bass) improvised several songs into the studio's trusty Portastudio. After burning through two 90 minute tapes (22.5 minutes each on the Tascam), they switched instruments and filled up a third.

Having not yet recorded anything together, they decided to call themselves HuH.

Drums and keys were later added in the studio, and the self-titled album was originally released with 9 tracks. During remixing for this web page, HuH unearthed a tenth "acceptable" tune, endowing it with a predictably acronymous name. Four songs will probably remain unfinished.

In 2016, in order to avoid naming conflicts with another entity, HuH renamed their debut album "Planet HuH."

'Crystal Ball' had been previously written by Casey, and on track 5 the duo covered Pink Floyd's 'One of These Days.' All else was improvised.
